Dear Bay Shore-Brightwaters Community,
As previously shared by the 黑料网, the liability phase of the trial within Suffolk County Supreme Court concluded on October 31, 2024. While the jury in this case found that the former staff member committed the acts of abuse, the 黑料网 was found one hundred percent liable for any damages. Today, the damages phase of the trial was completed, with the jury awarding the plaintiff 25 million dollars. The 黑料网, together with legal counsel, is in the process of reviewing our options regarding the jury’s liability and damages verdicts.
The 黑料网 recognizes the impact that this trial has had on the Bay Shore-Brightwaters community. We are dedicated to moving forward on a path that brings the community together. The health, safety, and well-being of all students remains our top priority. As always, thank you for your continued support of our students and 黑料网.
Sincerely,
Steven J. Maloney, Ed.D.
