Bay Shore High School Veterans Wall of Honor Project

The Bay Shore High School Alumni Association is building a Veterans “Wall of Honor” to pay tribute to all Bay Shore graduates who served our country in the Armed Forces.  Help them to honor Bay Shore High School students who have served or are currently serving in the United States Armed Forces. Help them highlight hometown veterans to current students and the visiting public with an electronic, state-of-the-art “Wall of Honor” display.

The 15-foot wide, floor-to-ceiling display features an electronic 42” monitor to display veterans’ names and photos, with a touch tech pad to allow easy access to the database.  There will be memorabilia cabinets on each side of the screen. The “Wall of Honor” will be located in the rear lobby of Bay Shore High School, opposite the Bay Shore High School Hall of Fame.

The Alumni Association is collecting information about and photos of veterans and active duty service members who graduated from Bay Shore High School.  All photos submitted will be digitized for the electronic display. There is no cost to submit any veteran data. To submit information and photos, email Viki Zimolka at vzimolka@gmail.com.

The Association is also raising money to help cover the cost of the “Wall of Honor” display.  There are various levels of sponsorship available. Contributions of $1,000 or more will be permanently recognized on the “Wall of Honor.”  All contributions are fully tax deductible as allowed by law. Donations may be made using the downloadable form available in the menu to the right.  All checks should be made payable to “BSHS Alumni Association” and send to:
