OBJECTIVES:

Psychomotor:

The students will be able to:

  • Create movement to demonstrate coordination and elements of dance/choreography.
  • Develop, perform, analyze and evaluate a dance routine that is a minimum of one and a half minutes

Cognitive:

The students will be able to:

  • Identify the five elements of dance
  • Research and present information pertaining to the genre of the group routine.
  • Analyze music and apply it to choreography

Affective:

The students will be able to:

  • Work cooperatively with group members in order to create a dance routine.
  • Reflect on individual contributions made towards the group dance routine.
  • Reflect and evaluate a videotaped performance and make modifications to improve that performance.
  • Respect the different physical abilities of group members and incorporate that into strategy for choreographing a routine.
